    震惊,发现以下两个词汇美式口音和英式的(平时中英文夹杂的时候都采用的是这种)区别蛮大的:
    1. module
    2. routing

The way we can assume information and interact(?) with network is changing. The video usage has increased more than ever before, The number of mobile devices applications is growing at an incredible rate, and more businesses are adopting new modules such as cloud computing. Service providers have traditionally focused on maintaining quality of service by quickly and reliably delivering content from the core of the network to the subscribers. The rules have changed.

Performance is still critical, because the volume of VoIP traffic is growing exponentially. However, scaling ??? subscriber capacity is no longer sufficient. High-performance and scale between data centers is essential for meeting performance needs or video communications. For Cloud computing, a network must be able to dynamically shift data center ??? by time or geography. Tomorrow’s networks require a new foundation to meet these needs.

As the Internet has evolved, Cisco has delivered two ??? technologies, that keep global networks running smoothly. Now Cisco introduces the CRS-3, a new carrier routing system that lays the foundation for the next generation Internet. It has more than 3 times the scale of the CRS-1. Enough(?) to deliver every movie ever made in 4 minutes, or allow every person in China to make a video call at the same time. With built-in data center service intelligence, a network and cloud can work as one. This allows service providers to maintain high quality and reliability for subscribers. Providers can also create and deliver new categories of service. Despite these ??? scale and intelligence, it consumes less than half the energy of its predecessor, and 60% less energy compared to its nearest competitor. And savings for service providers are compounded by the fact that the CRS-3 is part of the Cisco’s existing family of products. Upgrading is simple and non-disruptive, new line-cards and fabric can be added, leaving the existing chassis, fan, power supply, ??? processors, and old line-cards in place.

The CRS-3 meets complex network challenges now and in the future, it’s a new approach to core routing, simple less 3, 2, 1.

Juniper Networks Introduces the Next-Generation Core Router for the New Network

Industry’s Fastest Core Router Designed to Support Multimedia and Advanced Cloud Services for the New Network with Unmatched Investment Protection

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 15, 2010 — Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today introduced its next-generation and the industry’s fastest core routing platform that delivers breakthrough levels of performance with the new network economics necessary to support service provider business models into the next decade. Juniper Networks(R) T4000 Core Router, powered by the Junos(R) operating system, provides the scalability and flexibility required to meet rapidly expanding bandwidth requirements, while extending the unprecedented investment protection of the T Series platform, the most widely deployed core routing platform in the world.

At 240 Gbps/slot, the T4000 is the industry’s fastest and densest IP/MPLS router, built and optimized for transport networks, the service provider backbone and major peering points around the world. With four terabits of line rate throughput in a half rack chassis, the T4000 is purpose-built to facilitate the continued rapid increase in multimedia applications, including enterprise collaboration and mobile video conferencing as well as new and emerging cloud and research applications.

‘At Comcast, we are committed to delivering more and more compelling entertainment and communications experiences to our customers,’ said Kevin McElearney, vice president of network engineering at Comcast, one of the leading providers of entertainment, information and communication products and services in the United States. ‘Juniper has been an important technology partner in helping us grow and evolve our network to meet increasing customer demands, and the capabilities of Juniper’s T4000 look promising in helping us expand even further.’

The T4000 is being introduced as Internet traffic patterns are increasingly more dynamic with video, cloud computing and mobile applications placing new demands on the network. ABI Research projects that U.S. mobile data traffic will grow more than 500 percent in the next four years to reach more than 3,200 petabytes by 2014. With Internet traffic expected to increasingly include some form of video, the higher network core capacities of the T4000 will be essential to meeting subscriber expectations of reliable connectivity to rich media content.

‘Our number one priority is meeting the expectations of our customers around the world as our core network experiences year-over-year growth,’ said Kempei Fukuda, senior director, Global Business Division, NTT Communications Corporation, a global leader in delivering broadband communications. ‘With the demand for 100G approaching, the capabilities of Juniper’s T4000 would help us deliver the reliable bandwidth our customers require.’

T4000 Extends Unmatched History of Investment Protection

The T4000 extends Juniper’s history of flexibility, performance and investment protection by enabling existing T640 and T1600 core routers to be upgraded to T4000 without service disruption or changing customer-facing interfaces. All generations of the T Series have multichassis capability built into the architecture and support the same consistent Junos operating system deployed in every one of the top 100 service providers worldwide.

‘Juniper is the clear leader in innovative, next-generation networking technologies, including being the first to announce and deliver 100G,’ said Stefan Dyckerhoff, executive vice president and general manager, Infrastructure Products Group, Juniper Networks. ‘With the T4000, Juniper is now the first to provide clear investment protection for three generations of core routers since the introduction of the T640 more than eight years ago.’
